View the full collection below and read a brief description of my memories at each location:
"Sand Beach" is of a beloved location in Maine, Sand Beach at Acadia National Park. Sand Beach is one of the most visited beached in the State of Maine. It is where my family went every summer to dip our toes in the ice cold water, and where we took our friends & family when they were seeing Maine for the first time. It holds a special place in my heart, as I am sure it does for many of you as well. I hope you enjoy reflecting on your own sweet memories in this location as you frequently pass it hanging in your home.
"Sandy Point” is an original watercolor painting designed perfectly for any small space within your home. The composition is of a beloved location in Maine, Sandy Point in Stockton Springs. When walking to the oceans edge at Sandy Point, I would frequently stop where the sand meets the water and look over the vast sea & depths of the ocean and be reminded of how Jesus walked on water, how He parted the Red Sea, and how He calms the raging seas inside of us with His Words. Psalm 23 is a perfect depiction of how he would lead me beside these quiet waters & refresh my soul, for He was with me here as I captured these moments in time, now to paint them for you. I hope you look at these paintings and also reflect on His wonderful Word & miraculous deeds throughout time.
"Southwest Harbor” is is of a location my family loves in Southwest Harbor, Maine. We would frequently go to the picnic area and bring our favorite sandwiches to eat while overlooking the harbor, catching up with family from sometimes years of being away, gathering seashells & rocks, while planning our next stops to Cadillac Mountain, Sand Beach, Bar Harbor & Thunder Hole.
"Bar Harbor” is of a photograph I took years ago while walking around the main street in Bar Harbor, Maine. I looked back at the shops on main street and photographed them peaking through the trees. Bar Harbor is a place we have brought friends and family to every summer we lived in Maine, and the shopping down main street consists of local mom & pop shops & restaurants that sell one of a kind Maine goods & fresh seafood eats.
"Coastal Sighting” is of a beloved location in Maine, The Bluff Path at French's Point overlooking The Penobscot Bay in Stockton Springs. I would frequently walk this bluff path as it was not only a previous work location, but also the location where my husband & I got married. When capturing this image, a bird flew over the bay at the perfect time just to perch on the tree nearby to overlook the ocean.
"Follow Me” is of a beloved location in Maine, Sandy Point in Stockton Springs, captured at my favorite time of day. This location I walked to almost every day while I lived in Maine during our first few years of marriage. When coming to the oceans edge on my walks, I was reminded of how Jesus came to his first disciples, the fishermen, on the beach and while they were in the midst of their daily life, He asked them to "Come, Follow Me." And they followed him. I find this image of the fisherman resting in the evening sunset to be a sincere reminder of how God brings us peace & rest as we come, and follow Him, just as His disciples first did while fishing on the beach.
"Enduring Promise” is an original watercolor painting designed perfectly for any small space within your home. The composition is of a beloved location in Maine, The Farm House Beach at French's Point. I captured this God-given rainbow after a rain shower we received while on the property. I titled this painting "Enduring Promise" because of The Promise God has been faithful to keep for all generations since Noah, and will continue to keep until Jesus returns again.
"Stockton Springs” is of a beloved location in Maine, Sandy Point in Stockton Springs. This peaceful location on the Coast of Maine was frequently walked to by my husband & I. Here we would find others taking their time walking around the serene location, fishing at sunset, swimming during the day with littles, and enjoying all that Maine has to offer right in your own backyard.
"Golden Hour Stroll” is of a beloved location in Maine, Sandy Point in Stockton Springs, Maine where during sunset, the water was still and the evening glow cast itself over the land. My favorite time of day to walk to this beautiful location was at golden hour. To get to the beach, you would have to walk through tall grassy paths filled with the sounds of Maine.
"Penobscot Sailing” is of a beloved location of a rocky coastline in Maine, The Penobscot Bay in Stockton Springs where boats slowly sail by and the rocks sit just above on the waters surface during low tide.
I hope you have enjoyed this Coastal Watercolor Collection as much as I have enjoyed creating it for you!
xoxo
