The very first commission I received for Christmas this past year was of a special camping spot in Maine, "Unknown Lake." My client sent me photos she took of the lakeside views from their camping spot they visit each year. She and her family have gone to Unknown Lake every year since she was a little girl with her Mom, brother, and Dad. Since her Dad's passing, she has continued to camp at this location with her Mom & brother, but now with their little ones, spouses, and their Dad's Old Town Canoe in sweet memory of the life he lived. To capture this yearly memory for all three of them this past Christmas Season was an honor like no other. What started out as one commission for her Mom, turned into three commissions when she realized how much her brother would appreciate a painting of this special scene, and she couldn't imagine not having one for herself as well!
